GET TO KNOW ME

GET TO KNOW ME!

Hi, I’m Jaeley!

I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin where everyone knows everyone… which, looking back, meant I got really good at keeping a lot to myself. By the time I was 15, I had lost all of my grandparents, and I started experiencing anxiety, depression, and a lot of unprocessed grief. At the time, I didn’t have the language or diagnosis for it. I just knew I felt overwhelmed, different, and like I was trying to keep up in a world that didn’t feel meant for someone like me.

When I was 19, in college at UW-Milwaukee studying psychology to become a therapist (ironic, right?), I hit one of the lowest points in my life and attempted to take my own life. It was a turning point, but not in a storybook or inspiring way. It was slow, messy, and very real. Therapy, support, and continued personal work quite literally changed the trajectory of my life. That experience is something I carry with me in everything I do, because I’m not just someone who markets to therapists… I’m someone who genuinely wouldn't be alive without them!

I still navigate my own mental and physical health, which has taught me so much about capacity, sustainability, and what it actually means to support someone in a way that feels safe and real. It’s given me a level of empathy and awareness that you can’t really learn from a textbook. It’s lived. And because of that, I naturally think like the person on the other side of the screen asking, “do they actually get me?” and “will I feel safe here?”

In 2020, I started a pet sitting business that grew into a full-time, fully booked business with employees. And what made that possible wasn’t luck or perfect strategy- it was connection. It was learning how to communicate in a way that makes people feel seen, even through a screen. That’s when it clicked for me that marketing isn’t about being the loudest or most polished, it’s about being understood!

Not long after, in 2023, I started working closely with therapists in the Brainspotting community doing their social media and marketing, and everything about working with therapists and healers just made sense. Because I don’t just understand marketing, I understand the client experience and the therapist experience. Your website and content shouldn’t just sound good… it should feel safe enough for someone to reach out. That’s the lens I bring into every single project.

Now, through Mindful Mae Marketing, I help therapists and healers show up online in a way that actually reflects who they are. Not overly clinical, not trying to sound like everyone else, and not stripped of the warmth that makes your work meaningful. Because your future clients aren’t looking for perfect… they’re looking for someone they can feel before they ever click “book.”

Outside of work, I’m usually spending time with my loved ones, my fur babies, fostering and caring for strays (they seem to find me, I swear), feeding local ducks and turtles at Denman Estate Park, or going on long walks. I live in an RV full-time, co-parent neighborhood cats with my neighbors, and have a deep appreciation for good food here in San Antonio. Personal growth and having purpose isn’t something I turn on for work… it’s genuinely how I live every aspect of my life.

Lastly, I’ll never ask you to show up in a way that I’m not willing to show up myself. If you’re someone who deeply cares about your clients but feels stuck trying to translate that into your online presence in a way that actually connects, you’re not alone. And you don’t have to figure it out by yourself!

Let’s Work Together!
